West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations WBJEE is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes at universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes in West Bengal. The WBJEE 2017 will tentatively conduct in the third week of May 2017 WBJEE 2017 Tentative dates- Availability of Information bulletin along with proforma for domicile and income certificates Last week of December, 2016 Start of Online application form fill- up 1st week of January, 2017 Last date of filling up of application form and registration Last week of February, 2017 Last date of document uploading 1st week of March, 2017 Last Date of fee payment 1st week of March, 2017 Last date of printing confirmation page Last week of March, 2017 Window for correction ((based on Board’s feedback and self-induced errors) along with uploading of correct Certificates etc. 2nd week of March, 2017 Availability of Admit card for download 1st week of April, 2017 Examination Date 3rd week of May, 2017 Declaration of Result 1st week of June, 2017 WBJEE eligibility Criteria- Candidates must pass 10+2 examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination. Candidates must secure individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with an aggregate of 60% marks (55% for reserved category) in PCM taken together. Candidates should pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks. Exam pattern- Mode of Exam Offline Duration 2 hours for Chemistry + Physics 2 hours for Mathematics Subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Total no. of Questions - Physics- 40 Chemistry- 40 Mathematics- 75 Total no. of marks Physics + Chemistry – 100 Mathematics- 100 Marking scheme Q Category 1: Candidates will be awarded one mark for correct answer. ¼ marks will be deducted for incorrect answer for combination of more than one option. Q Category 2: Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for correct answer. ½ marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. Q Category 3: Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for correct answers; no marks will be deducted for incorrect answer.
