The Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Development Authority was constituted under the provision contained in Section 67(i) of Himachal Pradesh Town & Country Planning Act, 1977.

The BBNDA is very vast Planning area consisting of 41 Nos. of Panchayats having 229 Revenue Villages measuring 31814 Hectares including 5000 Industrial Units, 4 Growth Centers i.e. Baddi, Barotiwala, Nalagarh & Panjhera and 2 Urban Local Bodies.
