I want the know the rules and other details of Elections of Indian Institute of Technology IIT Bombay so can you tell me?

Elections for the Institute General Secretaries (Cultural/HA/Sports) and Overall Coordinators (MI/TF/eCell/STAB/SARC): The electorate comprises the entire student community of IIT Bombay.

Elections for the General Secretary Academic Affairs (UG):

The electorate would comprise all Undergraduate (B.Tech./ B.Des/ Dual Degree/ 5 yr M.Sc.(Integrated)/ 2yr M.Sc) students.

2 yr M.Sc. programs at IITB:

M.Sc.(Physics) Dept. of Physics
M.Sc.(Chemistry) Dept. of Chemistry
M.Sc.(Mathematics) Dept. of Mathematics
M.Sc.(Applied Statistics and Informatics) Dept. of Mathematics
M.Sc.(Applied Geology) Dept. of Earth Sciences
M.Sc.(Applied Geophysics) Dept. of Earth Sciences
M.Sc.(Biotechnology) School of Biosciences & Bioengineering

Elections for the General Secretary Academic Affairs (PG):

The electorate would comprise all Postgraduate (Ph.D./ M.Tech./ M.Phil./ M.Des./ M.Mgt./ PGDIIT/ MSc-Ph.D. Dual Degree) students.

Elections for the Institute Secretaries (Cult/Sports):

The electorate comprises of the institute council and 4 nominees from each hostel.

The decision of the Election Committee will be final and binding on all parties concerned on all matters pertaining to the elections.

Election fees for the candidates will be as follows:

Institute General Secretaries and Overall Coordinators
Rs. 3000/-

Institute Secretaries: Rs. 2000/-

Nomination fees are non-refundable.

All the manifestos used by candidates during campaigning are stamped by the election committee.
