Is SBBJ And SBI Same

Hi I have an account in the SBBJ and want to know that is the SBBJ and SBI same if yes then please provide me the details for the same ???

Well the State Bank of India is the largest public sector bank in the country

State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur SBBJ is an associated bank of State Bank of India

Its branch network out of Rajasthan covers all the major business centers of India.

State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur came into existence on 1963 when two banks, namely, State Bank of Bikaner (established in 1944) and State Bank of Jaipur (established in 1943), were merged.


In case of SBI , in the seesions1956 to 1961, 8 subsidiries were opened covering eight different zones in the country and they were functioning under the guidance of State Bank of India as detailed below:

State Bank of Hyderabad

State Bank of Mysore

State Bank of Patiala

State Bank of Travancore

State Bank of Bikaneer

State Bank of Jaipur

State Bank of Indore

State Bank of Saurashtra

Among the above subsidiaries, State Bank of Indore and State Bank of Saurashtra already merged with SBI some years back
