Hello sir will you please provide me detail of Municipal Corporation Property Tax Jalandhar? How to calculate Municipal Corporation Property Tax Jalandhar?

The Municipal Corporation in Jalandhar provides its Property Tax for properties are available in Jalandhar.

The Municipal Committee Jalandhar was created in 1867 and raised Class – I in 1950 Under the Punjab Municipal Act, 1911.

The main source of income to the Corporation is from House Tax Department. This Tax is levied U/S 93 (B) of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976.

If the monthly rent of the building is Rs. 100 than the House Tax will be assessed as under:

Rs 100 X 12 = Rs. 1,200
Less 10% exemption on maintenance of building Rs. 120
Total ARV Rs. 1,080
Tax @ 15% Rs. 162
Add Fire cess @ 5% of calculated tax i.e. (d) Rs. 8.1
5% Fire Case (Only for Commercial Properties)
Net Tax Rs. 170.1
