Common Admission Test (CAT) exam is a computer based test held in India. The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR).

Quantitative Ability

Duration


180 minutes

Sectional Duration


1 hour for each section

Question Types


Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Non-MCQs

Calculator Usage


On Screen basic calculator will be provided

Marking Scheme


For Non-MCQs,

+3 marks for ‘correct answer’

No marks(or negative marks) for ‘wrong or no attempt’.

The scoring scheme for multiple-choice questions (MCQ's) is:

+3 for correct answer

-1 for incorrect answer

No marks are given or deducted for un-attempted questions.
