The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) is a public engineering institution in Mumbai, India. In the QS World University Rankings 2014, it was ranked as India’s top university. It is the second-oldest, after Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, institute of the Indian Institutes of Technology system. M.Sc. (Biotechnology) Program A four semester program to impart in-depth knowledge of molecular cell biology, computational biology and their applications Its curriculum covers courses in thermodynamics, spectroscopy, enzymology, metabolism, genetics, cell biology, analytical biochemistry and microbiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, immunology, molecular biophysics and bioinformatics, together with relevant laboratory programs, and a research project leading to a dissertation. It is sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, which provides a stipend of Rs. 1200/- pm. Eligibility Requirement A pass in Bachelor’s degree in any one of the following: 1. Biological/ Chemical sciences OR 2. Pharmaceutical/ Veterinary/ Medical/ Agricultural sciences OR 3.
