The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school in India, and the oldest to teach European medicine in Asia.

JIPMER 2016 is the national level medical entrance exam conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) for admission to its MBBS programme.

Eligibility Criteria

You should be an Indian National.
The candidates appearing for the exam must have completed their age of 17 years as on or before the 31st December 2016. There is no upper age limit.
You must have passed/appearing the 12th or senior secondary education or its equivalent examination from a recognized board in India.
You must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology and English in the qualifying examination in order to appear for the examination.
You must have obtained the 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category) in the qualifying examination.
