IIT Entrance Exam

Hi that from the year 2013 IIT Entrance Exam will be in new format so is its true. If yes then please provide me news about it…….

You heard right. From year 2013, IIT entrance exam should be in new format. Here is the news about it which was published at the The Pioneer website;

“The Joint Admission Board (JAB) of IIT in its meeting on Monday is understood to have approved the JEE Advanced dates and approved the JEE Mains entrance test on April 7, 2013 which was decided by other stakeholders including CBSE, Centrally funded technical institutes and representatives of IITs in a meeting on Saturday.

HRD Ministry sources confirmed to The Pioneer that the IIT- JAB has decided to hold the IIT Advanced, which will book a seat in an IIT, on June 2, 2013. The JEE Mains will be held on April 7, 2013 and will be conducted by the CBSE with representatives from IIT and other Centrally Funded institutes on board. The Advanced will however be within the domain of the JAB headed by Prof HC Gupta of IIT Delhi and for which only the logistics will be provided by the CBSE.”

I am getting 176 marks in JEE Mains and 92% in CBSE board. I belong to General category and am a citizen of UP. What rank i might get? Also can I get admission into DA-IICT, any NIT, DCE, NSIT? (Branch doesn't matter). Also suggest the good colleges I can get based on my rank
