ICMR Fellowship Enhancement

I want to know about the eligibility and age limit for Indian Council of Medical Research Fellowship Enhancement so please can you provide me?

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is located in New Delhi and it is the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research. ICMR is funded by the Government of India through the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.


ICMR Fellowship Examination:

ICMR JRF Examination is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/ Research Program through council's support.

Test for ICMR JRF fellowship are conducted at the following seven centers:
Chandigarh
Chennai
Delhi
Kolkata
Hyderabad
Guwahati
Mumbai

Emoluments:
Existing value of the fellowship is at present Rs. 16000/- (Rupees Sixteen thousand only) Per month.

Duration:
Duration of fellowship will initially be limited till three years.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have M.Sc. / M.A. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC Candidates and 50% for the SC/ST & physically handicapped candidates.

Age Limit:
Age limit for admission to the eligibility test is 28 years

Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should be a citizen of India and working in the country. He must have degree of M.D/Ph.D with at least three years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institute after getting the requisite qualification.

Age Limit
Below 45 years for young scientists
Below 55 years for senior scientists.
