Default Re: Work Of Business Analyst

A business analyst is someone who analyzes an organization or business domain and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology.

The business analyst's primary objective is helping businesses implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.

The role of a systems analyst can also be defined as a bridge between the business problems and the technology solutions.

In today’s complex business environment, an organization’s adaptability, agility, and ability to manage constant change through innovation can be keys to success.

Business analysts can make it all happen more efficiently and effectively.

Business analysts typically take the lead role in:

Requirements organization
Translating and simplifying requirements
Requirements management and communication
Requirements analysis
Assisting with the business case
Planning and monitoring
Eliciting requirements

There are at least four types of business analysis:

Strategic planning — to identify the organization's business needs

Business model analysis — to define the organization's policies and market approaches

Process design — to standardize the organization’s workflows

Systems analysis — the interpretation of business rules and requirements for technical systems (generally within IT)
