The Indian Forest service Examination is comes in the Category of the Civil Service Examination that is conducted by UPSC Every year As you asking for the Educational Qualification Required for the IFS Examination here I am giving you the complete Eligibility Criteria for the IFS Examination that is as follow : Nationality: The candidate must be either: (a) A citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India Age : 21-30 Years Education qualification A Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent. Paper pattern of the IFS Examination : the IFS Examination consist of the two Examination Preliminary Examination Main Examination Preliminary Examination : The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each Both the question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions). The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper. MAIN EXAMINATION:- The written examination consisting of the following papers:- Paper I General English 300 Marks Paper II General Knowledge 300 Marks Paper III Any two subjects 200 marks to be selected for Paper IV from the list of each the optional paper Paper V subjects set out Paper VI Each subject will have two papers. list of optional subjects:- (i) Agriculture (ii.)
