It is an initiative by the students of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, to amalgamate the academia and industry associated with the agricultural and food sector.

Prakriti aims to provide a conduit for budding innovators and scholars from institutes across the country to interact with each other and the industry, citing a more practical aspect to technical education acquired on the academic front and at the same time, aiding enterprises to exploit the technological achievements for their own benefit.
