The Kashmir House, Dharamshala was built in 1935 by Lala Amar Nath Sood, it was purchased by then Maharaja of J&K Sh. Hari Singh. Later the Raja sold it to the Punjab Govt. It was later handed over to HPTDC to run as a deluxe hotel by the State Govt. It has a truly regal setting with a spectacular view.

It is located near Kotwali Bazar in Dharamshala provides hassle free access to places like Mcleodganj 5 km (approx.), St. John Church, Dharamshala 5 km (approx.), Kangra Valley, Dharamshala 0.5 km (approx.), Dal Lake, Dharamshala 9 km (approx.), War Memorial, Dharamshala 5 km (approx.) and Church of St. John, Dharamshala 5 km (approx.).

Rooms
The Kashmir House has 11 rooms which are divided in four variants: Regular Room, Deluxe Room, Kashmir Suite and Cozy Deluxe Room.

Rooms are well equipped and have simple interior.

There is direct dial telephone and colored TV in rooms.

Hot water is also available 24 hours.
