Boston University is a private research university located in Boston, Massachusetts. The university is nonsectarian, but is historically affiliated with the United Methodist Church.


The MS in Environmental Health prepares graduates to work as program or project managers, staff scientists, and research associates.


Admission Requirements

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in a field related to environmental health
Official transcripts for all registered coursework from each college or university attended

All candidates will be required to submit GRE scores or MCAT scores that are less than five years old.

It is recommended that relevant test scores (verbal, analytic, and quantitative) be above the 60th percentile.

Applicants must demonstrate competence in English.

Candidates from countries where English is not the language of instruction must submit either TOEFL or IELTS scores

Documentation of academic skills and interests from three references will be required.

A résumé or curriculum vitae.

Critically evaluate and interpret the hypothesis, experimental design, methods, and results presented in a paper from a technical journal article

Analyze and interpret environmental health data;

Identify appropriate intervention strategies for specific environmental health problems

Communicate the results of a scientific study in a written and oral format.
