Will you please provide detailed information about the Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEB ) to amend the Kerala Electricity Supply Code ?

Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEB ) has published a notification on 08th May, 2015to amend the Kerala Electricity Supply Code.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 50 read with Section 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003and all other powers enabling it in this behalf and after previous publication, Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission makes the following Regulations, to amend the Kerala Electricity Supply Code, 2014, namely.-

1. Short title and commencement.-

(1) This regulation may be called the Kerala Electricity Supply (Amendment) Code, 2015.

(2) This shall come in to force on the date of publication of the same in the Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Code.-

In the Kerala Electricity Supply Code, 2014,-
(i) in sub-regulation (9) of regulation 16, for the words and figures “No.8 standard wire gauge (SWG) copper or equivalent”, the words and figures “as per IS 3043, 1987” shall be substituted;

(ii) in sub-regulation (5) of regulation 18, for the opening words “Safety certificate from Electrical Inspector”, the words “Approval of Electrical
Inspector as specified in the Central Electricity Authority Regulations, 2010” shall be
substituted;

(iii) in sub-regulation (2) of regulation 20, for the words “by a method approved by the Electrical Inspector or Central Electricity Authority” the
words “as provided in the Central Electricity Authority Regulations, 2010” shall be
substituted.
