The Indo-Tibetan Border Police was founded in the year 1962 and it is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of India . Functions & Tasks of the force proves as a multi-dimensional force. 1. Check illegal immigration, trans-border smuggling and crimes. 2. Vigil on the northern borders, detection and promotion of the sense of security among the local populace. 3.Security to sentive installations, banks and protected persons. 4.Restore and preserve order in any area in the event of distubance. Force Symbols -- Crest of Force epitomizes Force motto Shaurya Drindhdta Karamnishta has Chakra and Ashoks on top with two rifles. Hello Vijay as you want to make carrer in defence, so on your demand I am providing you the information of Tibetan Border Police force for Sub Inspector post ITBPF was raised on 24 Oct,1962.Presently ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18700’ in the Western, Middle and Eastern Sector of the Indo-China Border. ITBPF is a specialized mountain Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Physical Standard of the candidate will be as follows : Men Height 170 cms Women Height 157 cms The minimum standard so far as it relates to height may be relaxed to 165 cms for males and 155 cms for females belonging to the hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Sikkimies, Leh and Ladakh, Kashmir Valley, North Eastern States. General Chest: 80 cms (unexpanded) 85 cms (expanded) Tribals/Adivasis Chest :77 cms (unexpanded) 82 cms (expanded) (Weight Corresponding to Height). Medical Standards : (a) Eye Sight : Should be medically fit in all respects, (Eye sight 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing glasses). (b) The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot/Varicose Vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.
