Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan TGT exam tentative dates are as given below:

Tentative dates

Closing Date of Applications:
Last week of Feb 2015

Date of Interview:
2nd week of March 2015

Exam pattern

Part I of the question paper will consist of 30 multiple choice objective questions in English (15) and Hindi (15) questions carrying one mark each.

Part II will consist of 120 multiple choice objective questions carrying one mark each comprising of the following sections:

•Current Affairs (40)
•Reasoning Ability (40)
•Teaching Methodology (40)

The total duration of test for the posts of TGTs and Primary Teachers will be of 2 and a half hours each.

Part II of the question paper of the candidate will be calculate only if he/she qualifies part I of the exam securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate.

The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test and interview and the weightage will be 70:30.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Trained Graduate Teachers date was held on 26th June 2014 and Main Written Examination was conducted on 27th July 2014.

Educational Qualification:-


The applicant should have 4 Years Integrated degree course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate;

OR Second Class bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject(s) and in aggregate including elective and languages in the combination of subjects.

B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized university

Proficiency in teaching through Hindi and English media

Desirable:
Knowledge of Computer Applications

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Exam-
Part 1 - Aptitude Test
Part - 2 Language Competency Test

Mains Examination
Subject Test
Interview

Part 1 (Aptitude Test)

Total Questions:- 110

Total Marks:- 110

i) General Awarness (Gk, Current Affairs, Indian Constitution, General Science)

ii) Test of Reasoning

iii) Quantitative Aptitude Test

iv) Teaching Aptitude Test

Part - 2 (Language Competency Test)

Total Questions:- 40

Total Marks:- 40

English Language:- 20 marks

Hindi Language:- 20 marks

There is no negative marking.

Mains Exam - Subject Test:

This is Descriptive Type Paper of 120 marks for a duration of 3 hours.
