International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a non-profit educational organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. IBO was established in 1968.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers high quality programs of international education for students aged 3 to 19. There are more than 5,96,000 IB students at 2,218 schools in 125 countries.

Programmes Offered:

PYP: The Primary Years Program (Kindergarten to Class 5)
MYP: The Middle Years Program (Class 6 to Class 10)
DP: The Diploma Program (Class 11 to Class 12)

Entrance Exam:

All the applicants have to take an entrance test and face an interview. The entrance test is comprises of two papers:

English (1 hour)
Mathematics (1 hour)

Scheme Of Assessment For English For IB Diploma

Assessment Weightage (%)
Exercises based on Comprehension 40
Creative/ Critical Writing Skills 40
Vocabulary Exercises 20
Duration: 1 Hour
Total Marks: 50

Scheme of assessment for Mathematics for IB diploma:

Assesment Weight age (%)
Mathematical Knowledge 10
Understanding of Concepts 30
Application Skills 30
Problem solving skills 30
Duration: 1 Hour
Total Marks: 50

The applicants are interviewed by a panel of teachers. The parent, along with the candidate, will then meet the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator.

The schedule of the examination is declared by the school in which you study or want to take admission.
