Yes Common Proficiency Test is very important to get admission in chartered accountant course to become a CA …
Here I am giving you information about required eligibility to participate in Common Proficiency Test for admission in CA course offered by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

Eligibility:
You have to passed +2 from a recognized board.
and candidates of who have passed B.com, M.com, LLB,ICWA,CS,MBA are also eligible for the exam.

CA CPT
age limit :
There is no maximum age limit for to write the CA CPT test..

There are 3 levels in CA
Foundation
Intermediate
Final

Is it compulsory or important to give CPT or Common Proficiency Test to become CA or Chartered Accountant as I want to do it after completing my Graduation?

No, it is not compulsory or important to give CPT or Common Proficiency Test to become CA or Chartered Accountant as you will be taking it after completing my Graduation. Those who are pursuing the Final year of Graduation Course shall be eligible for provisional registration to the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course.

Graduates or Post Graduates in Commerce who have secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the exam conducted by a recognized University (Open University including) by studying any 3 papers of 100 marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Taxation (Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws including), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting;

OR

Graduates or Post Graduates other than those falling under Commerce stream mentioned above having secured in aggregate at least 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the exam conducted by any recognized University (including Open University).

Registration Fees for Direct Entry Students

Fresh Registration Requirement of Fee Payable
Registration

1. Students enrolling Registration for both Groups 9000
after Graduation/ Register for Article Registration Fees 2000
Post Graduation Both Groups ATC Fees (Optional) 1000
or
Provisional Payable for undergoing course:-
Registration Orientation Course Fee 3000
ITT Course Fee 4000

2. Students enrolling Register for either
Registration for both Groups, or 9000
after CS Inter/ Group I or Registration for Group I 8000
CWA Inter Both Groups ATC Fees (Optional) 1000
Payable for undergoing Articleship
Article Registration Fees 2000
Payable for undergoing course:-
Orientation Course Fee 3000
ITT Course Fee 4000
