No, it is not compulsory or important to give CPT or Common Proficiency Test to become CA or Chartered Accountant as you will be taking it after completing my Graduation. Those who are pursuing the Final year of Graduation Course shall be eligible for provisional registration to the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course. Graduates or Post Graduates in Commerce who have secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the exam conducted by a recognized University (Open University including) by studying any 3 papers of 100 marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Taxation (Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws including), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting; OR Graduates or Post Graduates other than those falling under Commerce stream mentioned above having secured in aggregate at least 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the exam conducted by any recognized University (including Open University). Registration Fees for Direct Entry Students Fresh Registration Requirement of Fee Payable Registration 1.
