Can you please tell me about exam pattern and date of examination of NDA (National Defence Academy) Entrance examination??

NDA (National Defence Academy) Entrance examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 14th April, 2013 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 131st course, and for the 93rd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC)

Important Dates related to NDA Entrance examination

Online applications will start on 22nd December, 2012 to 21st January, 2013
Last date to receive applications: 21st January, 2013, Monday
Date of Examination: 14th April, 2013, Sunday
Commencement of classes: 02 January 2014


Candidates who will qualify this exam will have to undergo 4 years B.Tech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy at available vacancy position.

Exam pattern:

Written examination will consist of:

Mathematics: This section is of 300 marks and duration for this is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
General Ability Test: This section is of 600 marks and duration for this is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Examination will be objective type only and medium of paper for General ability test will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
