Default Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) paper pattern

Guys, can you tell me the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) paper pattern??

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) paper pattern will have 100 questions.

Each question will be of three marks each.

For every correct answer the student will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking.

The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.

For your reference here I am uploading a pdf file which contains the sample question paper, it will give you an idea about the paper pattern. This is the content of attachment:

Q1. The Commonwealth is characterised by (a) the failure of the constituents to work for the same goals (b) the racial nature of its membership (c) uniform lack of moral standards (d) constant redefining of objectives

Q2. The super powers may claim to have the same laudable objectives, but these (a) do not work earnestly to achieve them (b) undo each other’s efforts (c) still act against the interest of mankind (d) do not see them in the right perspective


Q3. Common goals are desirable, but these (a) do not ensure international co-operation (b) lead to unnecessary tensions (c) encourage rivalry between super powers (d) lead to destruction of mankind

Q4. International co-operation can come about if (a) nations become aware of their own failings and discard pride (b) charitable organizations are encouraged (c) different races are treated on the basis of equality (d) nations guilty of immoral actions are exposed

I wanted to join the Indian Air Force ? I heard that for joining the Indian Air force there is a Exam known as AFCAT ? please provide me the details of the Examination?

yes, you are right there is a Exam called AFCAT for joining the Indian Air force . The test is conducted twice a year in February and September

Advertisements inviting applications for AFCAT are out in June and December. Candidates are to apply as per the advertisement.
The test is conducted all across India by the Indian Air Force

there are different branches of Air force whom you select are given below:

Flying Branch,
Technical Branch and
Ground Duty Branches of Indian Air Force.


Paper pattern:
the AFCAT has 100 questions and questions are of objective types
and each question will be of three marks. So total marks for all questions will be 300.
As far as negative marking is concerned, there is one-third negative marking in AFCAT 2015 exam.



The AFCAT 2015 paper will consist of four sections:
1. General Awareness

2. Verbal Ability

3. Numerical Ability

4. Reasoning & Military Aptitude Test
