IAS- IAS stand for the Indian Administrative Services, and will be top among all the posts including Civil Services Exams.

IPS- IPS stands for the Indian Police Services, and IPS comes next to IAS.
IFS-IFS means the Indian Forests Service, AND comes next to the IPS.

You have to pass graduation in any stream from a well recognized university ..

IFS exam dates :
Date of Notification: 17 May, 2014
Last Date to Apply: 16 June, 2014
Date of Exam (Prelims): 24 August, 2014 (CSAT)
IFS Main Exam: 22 November, 2014 (10 Days)

IPS exam dates :
CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM, 2014
