Even if you are working as a bank clerk then also you can apply for the bank PO posts if you have the following eligibility.

IBPS conducts a Common Written Exam(CWE) every year to recruit Probationary Officers(PO's)

IBPS PO Exam Eligibility –

Nationality/Citizenship:
You must be either -
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age limit:
Candidates minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit:
-Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe 5 years
-Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years
-Persons With Disabilities 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers 5 years
-Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 5 years
-Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years

Educational qualification:
Must have degree with minimum 60% marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Computer Literacy:
-Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory
-Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.

Hey, you want to become Bank PO being a Bank clerk at present , for becoming Bank PO you should have to clear the bank PO exam conducted by the Banks . And than you have to clear the Phases of the Group Discussion and personal interview for the post.

Eligibility

Nationality
Citizen of India

Qualification:

Candidate should have a graduation degree marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification.

Candidate should secure minimum 60% recognized as such by the Central Government.

Candidate should have knowledge for operating computer systems .

Age limit:
20 years - 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit is given as per rules.
