The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts the Company Secretary Exam twice in an year – June and December.

Three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course are --
Foundation Programme
Executive Programme
Professional Programme

Fee Structure for CS Course

CS Foundation Programme
Rs.4500/-

CS Executive Programme
Rs.9000/- for Commerce Graduates / CPT passed of ICAI / Foundation passed of ICAI-CMA
Rs 10,000/- for Non Commerce Students
Rs 8,500/- for CS Foundation passed students

CS Professional Programme
Rs.12,000/-

Examination fee
Foundation Programme -Rs. 1200/-
Executive Programme - Rs. 1200/- per Module
Professional Programme -Rs. 1200/- per Module

On your demand Akashy I am providing you the details of CS course fee structure and other related details……….
“The Institute of Company Secretaries of India” (ICSI) is a National Professional body established by Act of Parliament to develop and regulate the Profession of Company Secretaries.


Fee details




Stages to become a Company Secretary:
Foundation Programme:
Foundation Programme which is of eight months duration can be done by 10+2 pass students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream.

Executive Programme:
Executive Programme can be done by a Graduate of all streams except Fine Arts.

Professional Programme:
Professional Programme can be done only after clearing the Executive Programme of CS Course.

Training: A Student has to undergo 15 months Management Training in Companies sponsored by the Institute after passing the Executive or Professional Programme or under the guidance of a Company Secretary in Practice.
After qualifying Professional Examination and on successful completion of training a candidate is admitted as an Associate Member of the ICSI and can use the letters ACS after his/her name i.e. Associate Company Secretary.

The role of a Company Secretary mentioned below:
In-house legal expert: Company secretary can work as a compliance officer for the Company.

Corporate Laws Expert: A company secretary can work as a corporate law, securities laws and corporate governance expert.

Chief advisor: Company secretary can work as a chief advisor to the board of directors.

Corporate Planner: The position also takes care of the corporate plans and strategies of the company.
