After B.Com Company Secretary course

I have completed B.Com and now I want to do Company Secretary Course. Can you provide the details of course?

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (I.C.S.I) is the only single institute in India which offers the Company Secretary course.

Eligibility criteria:
The basic eligibility needed to join the Foundation course for CS is 10+2 or an equivalent course.

Students from any stream, except for Fine Arts can join the CS course.
Candidate who are about to pass the 10+2 course with in 6 months time can also join the Foundation course, with the proof of clearing the examination.

Application procedure:
The students have to fill the application form of ICSI.
The candidates who are interested to join can obtain the form by sending a Rs200/- through cash payment.
They can also send a DD of Rs250/- drawn in favor of “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India”. The DD must be payable at New Delhi.

Exam pattern:
The candidates will have to pass the Foundation examination with in the time limit of 3 years from the period of admission.
The bare minimum period of the course is 8 months.

The CS course is divided into three following stages:
1.Foundation Programme
2.Executive Programme
3.Professional Programme

Important dates:
The exam for the Foundation course is held in the month of December and June every year.
The candidates have to register with the ICSI before 9 months prior to the exam.

To become a Company Secretary, you need to be a member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

To start the course of company secretary, you should have passed 10+2 from a secondary school.

The CS course is divided into three stages
1.Foundation Programme
2.Executive Programme
3.Professional Programme

A candidate with a bachelor's degree can apply directly for the Executive programme.

After successful completion of the Professional programme and practical training prescribed by the institute, the student becomes the member of the ICSI.

There is no entrance test conducted for admission in CS programme.

Appear in the examination conducted same year in the month of December and 31st of
August for the examination conducted next year in the month of June

where as, the last date of registration for the Executive Programme was 28th February
