Your backlog does not affect your career if you have cleared your backlog before starting of your career. As you had one backlog in first year and cleared it in second year, then there is no effect on your career.

You can easily start your career after completion of your graduation and also eligible for placement.

You can go for various companies like:-
Dell
Wipro
Infosys
IBM
TCS
Google
Tech mohindra
Compaq.

If I have backlog in any semester of Engineering, will it affect my career after completing engineering?

During the Engineering there are two possibilities which arises this career question in your life,

First either you feel like you are going to have backlog in future
Or second you are already having a backlog.
In the first case as you feel you will have backlog in near future then I would advice you to put in some more efforts and clear them before your last year.
And try not to get backlogs because it only takes a little effort to clear the exams .

So in second case I would suggest that it decreases your job opportunities if you are looking this in that way . Many MNC dont allow us to seat in written exams if you are having Backlog .
But no worries, The world is big and there is hardly a dent it makes in your life . so don’t panic just chill.

following companies won't allow students have any backlog in previous semester :
Infosys
HCL
TCS

One of the rest company MNC allow opportunities if you don have backlog in last 3rd and 4th year.
