The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals.

Here I am giving you some preparation tips for UGC National Eligibility Test examination below ..

Firstly you must know complete syllabus and exam pattern for exam of UGC NET exam… now you have to give more concentration on high weight age topics and make notes for important topics. You should start preparation as soon as possible

For better preparation you have to solve previous year question paper of UGC NET exam or buy books for it. you must give at least 10 to 12 hours per day for studies ..

National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) for the role of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in Indian Universities and Colleges.

As you are preparing for NET exam so here I am providing you some tips for preparation. If you follow these then I hope you will definitely clear this exam.

NET exam preparation tips

Prepare a study schedule and study accordingly

Study basic concepts in mass communication for the communication topic

Use flash cards and charts for Information and Communication Technology

Study each topic as 5 questions will definitely come from each topic

Solve as many as pervious year question papers.

Do preparation according to the exam pattern and syllabus.

Here I am providing you the exam pattern and syllabus for this exam.

Paper Pattern:

The Paper I consists of 60 objective type multiple choice questions out of which 50 questions are to be attempted.

Each question carries 2 marks and the maximum marks for the exam is 100.

The Paper is divided into 10 sections, with 5 questions being based on each section.

Syllabus:

1. Teaching Aptitude: nature, objectives, characteristics and basic requirements; Learner's characteristics; factors affecting teaching; Methods of teaching; Teaching aids; Evaluation systems

2. Research Aptitude: Research meaning, characteristics and types; steps of research; methods of research; research ethics; paper, article, workshop, seminar, conference and symposium; thesis writing its characteristics and format

3. Reading Comprehension

4. Communication: nature, characteristics, types, barriers and effective classroom communication

5. Reasoning (including mathematical): Number series, letter series, codes, relationships, classification

6. Logical Reasoning: Understanding the structure of arguments; evaluating and distinguishing deductive and inductive reasoning; verbal analogies, word analogy, applied analogy; verbal classification; reasoning logical diagrams; analytical reasoning

7. Data Interpretation: Sources, acquisition and interpretation of data; quantitative and qualitative data; graphical representation and mapping of data

8. Information and Communication Technology: ICT meaning, advantages, disadvantages and uses; General abbreviations and terminology; Basics of internet and emailing

9. People and Environment: People and environment interaction; sources of pollution; pollutants and their impact on human life, exploitation of natural and energy resources, natural hazards and mitigation

10. Higher Education System: Governance, Polity and Administration; Structure of the institutions for higher learning and research in India; formal and distance education; professional/technical and general education; value education; governance, polity and administration; concept, institutions and their interactions.
