PHD Admission IIT Bombay

I am looking to do the course of the PHD from the IIT Bombay can you please help me in that?

As you are looking to get admissions to the IIT Bombay so here are the details of the same at the institute –

Applications for Ph.D. Programme at the institute are accepted round the year ,however they are processed twice a year for Autumn Semester in July session and Spring Semester in January session.

Eligibility to get admission to the institute –

Applicants must have first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in the following to get admission to the courses at the institute:

Master's degree in any branch of Engineering along with adequate exposure to Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

M.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics in Mathematics, Operations Research or Statistics.

Bachelor's degree in any branch of Engineering along with an excellent academic record of the applicant can apply to the institute for the course

Admission are given under two categories at the institute –

Full-time Research Scholar such students usually stay on-campus and work full-time for the Ph.D. degree

Part-time Research Scholar such students are usually employed with some organization and work part time towards the Ph.D. degree at the institute.

Admission to the courses is based on the written test and here are the details of the written test to get admissions.

The written test to get admission to the Pphd courses at the IIIT Bombay will be based on the topics that are related to operations research, such as: optimization, applied probability, stochastic processes, statistics and algorithms.

The test is designed to test basic understanding and aptitude for research of the applicant.

The written test will be of about 2.5 hours at the institute followed by an interview of candidates that clear the written test.
