I am planning to apply for the XAT entrance exam and for this reason I need the dates of XAT entrance exam so kindly provide me important dates for entrance examination.

Important dates of XAT entrance exam:
Date of Commencement of Application: 20th September 2011
Last Date for Applying: 30th November 2011
Last Date for Applying: 15th December 2011 onwards
Date of Entrance Examination Sunday 8th January, 2012, 10.30 am to 01.00 pm
Result Declaration: Last week of January, 2012

XAT paper pattern:
Duration: 40 Minutes
English : 80 Questions
Reasoning & Quantitative Ability : 60 Questions
General Awareness: 60 Questions

Essay Writing : 1 Question 20 Minutes

The XLRI Admission Test XAT is an all-India test conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) for its management programmes as well as to many other reputed Top B-Schools in the country.

Educational Qualification:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+3 pattern of education.All the candidates who are appearing in the final year exams can also apply.

Experience: The candidate should have a full-time job with a minimum 5 years of experience.

Exam pattern:
Part I:
Section A: Analytical Reasoning & Decision making; 30 questions
Section B: Verbal ability & logical reasoning; 31 questions
Section C: Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability; 40 questions

There will be negative marking for 0.2 mark for the first 5 questions and 0.25 for the rest of the questions. The total time duration is 2:20 hours.

Part II:
The part II will have essay writing and general awareness sections and the maximum allotted time will be 40 minutes.

Syllabus:
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation :
Arithmetic, Algebra, Modern Math, Geometry, and Trigonometry, Profit and Loss,Time, Speed and Distance, Tables, Line Graph and Table and Geometrical Diagrams.

Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability:
Reasoning, vocabulary, English usage or Grammar, comprehension from politics, linguistics, organizational ecology etc, miscellaneous words and sentences and jumbled paragraph.

How to Apply:
You can apply online on to the official website of XAT by registering you details. Login to get the online application form and fill the form in the prescribed format.
After applying download and Print XAT Pay-in-slip to make the payment or make the online payment.
Afetr payment login on to the website to fill the Bank transaction ID No. and date of payment and complete the form and take the print out of the Registration Confirmation Page.
