Yes you can participate in Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam is conducted by UPSC…IAS exam is also known as the Civil Services exam. Educational Qualification :- You have to passed graduation in any stream from a well recognize University.. Age limit : 21-30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination. General 21 to 30 OBC 21 to 33 SC/ST 21 to 35. And Ex-Service man Reliable 2year. Exam pattern : Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type carrying a maximum of 400 marks. Here, I am trying to help you for the IAS exam. Give attention following details. Indian Administrative Service officers are appointed through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria: Education: Candidate need to have graduation degree form any recognized university in any discipline. Age: The candidate age should be between the 21 years to 30 years. The age relaxations given to reserved candidates. Nationality: The Candidate should be Indian citizen or equivalent as per UPSC norms. Selection Criteria: The Selection of the candidate goes through three steps, civil services preliminary exam, civil services mains exam and interview. Civil Services Preliminary Exam: This exam contains objective type questions and held in two papers. Paper 1 (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs. Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian national movement Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc. Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc. General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization General science. Paper 2 (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs. Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level) English language comprehension skills (Class X level) Civil Services Mains Exam : The students who qualify the preliminary exam go for the mains exam. The mains exam contains 9 papers from this 5 paper are optional which are chosen by the candidate itself. Following are the subject for Mains exam.
