I have passed my B.Tech and now I am confused between M.Tech. IT VS M.Tech CSE so can you please clear this confusion for me?

As you want to get the details of M.Tech. IT and M.Tech CSE so here is the information of the same for you:

I want to tell you that according to me both the fields are one and the same

But M.Tech CSE has little more edginess

Because in Computer Science and Engg, you will find blend of software and hardware topics.

So it is much more interesting rather than only software concentrated IT.

There are so much variety topics you can find in the Master's course of CSE.

So the demand for CSE is more than IT in the Master's study.

Computer science is an evergreen field and jobs would always be in plenty. Computer science (or computing science) is the study and the science of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems.

The major difference between M.Tech CS and M.Tech Information Technology or Software engineering is its focus.

M.Tech CSE is focused on core computer engineering and M.Tech Information Technology or Software Engineering will be focused and rotate around on Software Engineering subjects.

M.Tech CSE course you will see subject like Computer Architecture,
Computer Programming,
Computer Graphics,
Algorithms,
Data mining,
Networking,
artificial intelligence,
Computer related mathematics such as:
Discrete Math,
Automata and Theory of Computation.


M.Tech Information Technology or Software Engineering course rotate around the subject as:
Project management and development
(from managerial side)
Software architecture,
Project management tools
(such as Ration Rose, CASE, GIT, GARRIT), Software testing methodology
Software verification
ERP software education
Software Testing and Quality Assurance
Software Construction and Maintenance
Software Project and Configuration Management, Embedded and Real Time Systems....etc….
