Eligibility Criteria:
Category I : Direct Admission i.e. without Entrance Test
Course Requirements
Candidates must have passed B.A. (Hons.) Examination in English from University of Delhi from 2011 onwards

Minimum Marks Requirements:
Candidates must have pssed with at least 60% & above marks for General category and 54% & above marks for OBC/ SC/ST/PwD and CW categories

Category II : Admission Through Entrance Test
Course Requirements:
Candidates must have passed with B.A. (Hons.) Examination in English of the University of Delhi.
Minimum Marks Requirements:
Candidates must have passed with at least of 45% & above marks for General category and 40.5% for OBC and 40% PwD and CW categories.

Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University.

Candidates must have passed with at least 50% & above marks in aggregate for General category and 45% & above marks in aggregate for OBC/PwD and CW categories

Entrance Test:
General Category OBC PwD/CW SC/ST
At least 40% in the At least36% in the At least 35% in the No Minimum

Number of seats earmarked for admission on merit basis and on the basis of entrance examination:
50% of seat in all categories (i.e. General, SC, ST, and OBC) in both the campuses (i.e. Main and South) and in the NCWEB are kept aside for Direct Admission and the remaining 50% of seats will be filled through Entrance Test.

The University of Delhi is a public central university in Delhi which is a premier university in India and is known for its high standards in teaching and research.

The duration of M.A./ M.Sc. (Mathematics) is 4 Semester.

Eligibility for Admission:

There are 2 modes of admission:

1) Direct Admission

50% seats in the M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics is filled on the basis of a merit list drawn in order of merit amongst candidates who have passed B.A.(Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) Exam in Mathematics of Delhi University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.(Candidates appearing in the final year Exam are eligible to apply). Applicants need to graduate under 10+2+3 scheme or any equivalent scheme are eligible for applying admission.

2) Through an Entrance Test

Rest 50% seats are filled on the basis of merit in an entrance exam. Any candidate who has obtained bachelor degree in any subject and has studied minimum 3 courses each of 1 year duration or 6 courses each of one semester duration in Mathematics securing at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to appear in entrance examination.

Any candidate appearing in the final year exam of Bachelor degree of the same calendar year is eligible to appear in the entrance test, however, one is considered for admission if one fulfils the other requirements of admission.
