NIT Rourkela M.Tech Ph.D Admissions

Sir, I have completed with 76% my B. Tech course. I want to get admission to do M. Tech. from NIT Rourkela. Give complete admission eligibility criteria and also tell me from where I can get the application form.

The NIT Rourkela offers M.Tech (res.) and Ph.D program. Here is the eligibility criteria required for admission in Ph.D program and M.Tech program.

Eligibility: To get admission in PhD program, you must have done M.E./M.Tech./ M.Pharm in relevant stream with not less than 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks in aggregate) at both B.Tech. / (or M.Sc./M.Pharm/MCA) and M.Tech. levels OR must have done B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm/ M.Sc.(Basic Science) /M.C.A. in relevant stream with not less than CGPA 7.0 in a 10 point scale.


M.Tech.(Research): for this program, you must have done B.E./B.Tech /B.Pharm /MCA/MBBS/ M.Sc. in Basic Science or Agriculture with minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks OR M.Sc./M.A./MBA/M.Com. in Management, Social Sciences or Humanities with 6.5 CGPA.

Admission procedure: candidates will be short listed on the basis of their applications and the committee will call those candidates for interview. In 2012, the list of selected candidates for interview has already been published so you can try next time for this program.
