Under this section, click on - Graduate Admissions
Now new web page will open
At this page, click on - Applying Online
Under this section, click on - Apply Online Now
As you are first time applicants so now click on - Create Your Account
Now new web page will open
This page will look likes below image



Fill all the detail at provided place
Click on – Submit button
Your account will be created
Now you can apply online for graduate admission using your account

Virginia Polytechnic Institute is a public, land-grant, research University with a main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia. The commonwealth's third-largest university and its leading research institution. It was established in 1872.

Academic Requirements for freshmen

Before you can be considered for freshman admission, you must complete:

18 units of high-school course work
4 units of English
3 units of math (includes algebra I, geometry, and algebra II)
2 units of laboratory science (chosen from biology, chemistry or physics)
2 units of social science (one must be history)
3 additional academic units (foreign language is highly recommended)
4 elective units

Freshman Holistic Review

Admissions directors use a holistic approach throughout the application review process.

Many factors are considered; the most important being rigor of academic program, grades in academic courses, and standardized test scores.

Leadership and service

Major requested
Participation in Virginia Tech pipeline programs

ACT/SAT Requirements

Virginia Tech accepts either the SAT Reasoning Test (including critical reading and math) or ACT test scores.

Mid-50% GPA: 3.84–4.27

Mid-50% SAT*: 1160–1340
