As of 27th Feb 2013 the West Bengal Public Service Commission publish the Judicial Service Examination notification 2013, here I am giving some of information:

West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2013

Eligibility:
The applicant should have Law degree from any University or Institution affiliated to any University recognized by the State
Government or the Central Government;

Skills:
Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali

Age limit:
The applicant’s age should tot less than 23 years and not more than 35 years on the date of advertisement for the examination, on 26.02.2013.

Pay scale:
Rs.27,700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770/-

Selection Procedure:
The selection is based on following steps:

Preliminary Examination
(Objective Type & Multiple choice)

Final Examination
(Written examination)

Personality Test

Preliminary Examination:
The Preliminary Examination has 1 paper, is of Objective Type that has 200 Multiple Choice Questions.
The total marks of paper are 200.
The duration of pre exam is 2 ½ hours' duration.

Main (Written) Examination:
The main exam has 8 compulsory papers and 3 papers on optional subjects to be chosen by the candidates from the list of Optional Subjects.
The total marks of paper are 100.
The duration of pre exam is 3 hours duration.

Optional Papers (any three to be chosen)

Principles of Equity including the Law of Trusts and Specific Relief

Law of Limitation and Law of Prescription
The Indian Constitution and Constitutional Law

Application Fee:
The candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs.210/-.
