Name of Exam: Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Sailor Recruitment Exam

Conducting Authority: Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti)

Exam Pattern: There will be three stages in the exam as stated above to be qualified for all the candidates applying in the concerned entrance exam.
1. Written Exam
2. PFT (Physical Fitness Test)
3. Medical Exam

Paper Pattern for Written Exam:

Section I: English
Section II: Science
Section III: Mathematics and
Section IV: General Knowledge

Duration of Exam: 1 Hour

Syllabus for Written Exam: It will be equivalent to the Class 12th standard.

Language of Questions: Both English as well as Hindi



Indian Navy exam syllabus will be

Objective type screening test (MCQ) consisting of
General English and Hindi of Matriculation standard,

SSR stands for Senior Secondary Recruits.
Indian Navy SSR Syllabus is given below:
Science:
Physical world and measurement, kinematics, law of motion, work, energy and power, motion system of particle and rigid body, gravitation.
Mechanics of solids and fluids, heat thermodynamics, oscillations, waves, electrostatics, current electricity
Magnetic effect of current and magnetism, electromagnetic induction and alternating current, electromagnetic, waves.
Optics, dul nature of matter and radiations, atomic nucleus / solid and semi – conductor devices, principles of communication.
Metals and non metals, organic chemistry, food, mutrition and health, physiology and human diseases, computer science.

Mathematics :
Relations and functions, logarithms, complex numbers, quadratic equations, sequences and series, trigonometry.
Cartesian system of rectangular coordinates, straight Lines family of straight lines, circles.
Conic Sections, permutations and combinations, vectors, exponentil and logarithmic series, sets and set theory, statistics.
Introduction to three – dimensional geometry, probability function, limits and continuity, differentiation, applications of derivatives.
Indefinite integrals binomial theorem, matrices, determinants, definite integrals.

English
Passage, preposition, correction of sentences, change active to passive/passive to active voice.
Change direct to indirect, indirect to direct, verbs, tense, non finites, punctuation
Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, synonyms and antonyms, meanings of difficult words.
Use of adjective, compound preposition, eterminers, use of pronouns.
General Awareness Indian Navy SSR Syllabus 2014
Culture and religion, geography : soil, rivers, mountains, ports, inland harbours, freedom movement.
Sports : championships, winners, terms, number of players, defence, wars and neighbours, current affairs.
Important national facts about india, heritage and arts, dance, history, languages, capitals and currencies.
