It is not possible for me to tell you the admission process of each and every engineering college in India. So I am providing you the admission procedure for Engineering Courses in Maharashtra: Engineering candidates have to write MHTCET exam conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) from which nearly 85% seats are filled. Approximately 15% seats are reserved for admission through JEE Main. Diploma candidates can get direct admissions to different departments after first year in six autonomous institutes through a process conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. Eligibility for MHTCET – Candidates must have passed 10+2 through Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Counseling Process – First three rounds of counseling are through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) by Direct Allotment for Maharashtra and JEE Main. But the fourth round of counseling is by Centralized Counseling process on the basis of MHTCET marks only for Maharashtra candidates.
