You can apply offline for the following examination. The SSC conducts the CGL Examination for the post of the Income tax inspector. Now in present the SSC released the recruitment for CGL examination. So you can apply online on the official website of SSC. Eligibility for CGL Exam The Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from any recognized University in any discipline. SSC publish advertisement for the vacancy of various posts with instructions in Employment Newspaper so you check from it when it publish the notification of vacancy than you can apply for it if you full fill all the eligibility criteria required for it Eligibility: Must have graduation degree with minimum of 60% marks from recognized University Age Limit: The age should be between 21 years to 30 years. Selection Process: The selection for SSC Tax Inspector Recruitment is conducted in two stages Stage one- Written test Stage two- Interview cum personality test The written test is 400 mark with sections of •General Intelligience- 120 marks •General English- 80 marks •General Awareness- 120 marks •Arithmetic ability- 80 marks Candidates who successfully complete stage one are then called for a personality cum interview test. Syllabus General Intelligence: It would contain questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualisation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation related concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidates abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computations and their analytical functions. General English: Questions in this test will be designed to assess the knowledge of English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms etc. There will also be a question on comprehension of a passage. Arithmetical Ability: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates to perform fundamental arithmetical operations and his skill in working our problems relating to percentages, ratio and proportion, average estimation, rounding numbers, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time. General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, especially pertaining to history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity and scientific research.
