As you want to get information about the scopes for B.Tech students in IAF, so here I want to tell you that you can join Indian Air Force after completing B.Tech.

You can join in following branches of IAF:
Flying Branch
Technical Branch
Ground duty Branch

You can apply for the following posts in these branches:

FLYING BRANCH

CDSE (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION) (FOR MEN ONLY)
Eligibility criteria:
Age - 19 to 23 years (at the time of commencement of course)
Nationality – Indian
Marital Status - Single
Gender - Men only
Educational Qualifications: Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University

TECHNICAL BRANCH

AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING COURSE
Eligibility criteria:
Age - 18 to 28 years (at the time of commencement of course)
Nationality - Indian
Marital Status - Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried
Educational Qualifications Engineering degree or while in your final year/semester of Engineering

UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME(UES)
Eligibility criteria:

Age - 18 to 28 years (at the time of commencement of course)
Nationality - Indian
Marital Status - Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried
Educational Qualifications: Studying in Pre-Final year of B-tech/BE degree course
Gender - Men only

GROUND DUTY BRANCH

General Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty Branches
Age - 20 to 23 Years for Graduates and 20 to 25 years for Post Graduates (at the time of commencement of course). Upper age limit relaxed upto 26 years for Law Graduates (3 Years Course), upto 27 years for CA / ICWA / M Ed / Ph D.
Marital Status - Candidates below the age of 25 years must be Unmarried.
Nationality - Indian
Gender - Both men and women.

ADMINISTRATION BRANCH
Educational Qualifications: Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

ACCOUNTS BRANCH
Educational Qualifications: Graduate Degree in Commerce (B Com) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

LOGISTICS BRANCH
Educational Qualifications: Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

EDUCATION BRANCH
Educational Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

METEOROLOGY BRANCH
Educational Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in any Science Stream / Mathematics / Statistics / Geography / Computer Applications / Environmental Science / Applied Physics / Oceanography / Agricultural Meteorlogy / Ecology & Environment / Geo- physics / Environmental Biology.

Joining the Army/Navy/Air Force or any other wing of the defense services can be exciting and high paying job.
B.Tech graduates can join Indian Air Force as Flying Officer in Flying Branch and Aeronautical Engineer in Technical Branch.
To apply to apply to join air force firstly you have to clear CDS exam.
Combined Defence Service Exam (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

Eligibility Criteria-

For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy:
Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

For Naval Academy:
Bachelor of Engineering

For Air Force Academy:
Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering Bachelor of Technology

Age Limit

Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-24 years
Naval Academy 19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years

Nationality: A candidate must be either
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) A subject of Nepal, or
(c) A subject of Bhutan, or
(d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
