What are the general Qualifications required to join Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as Sub Inspector????

The first step to join CBI as Sub Inspector is to clear the Combined Graduate Level Exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

Qualifications required for Combined Graduate Level Exam
-You must be degree holders from a recognized university

Other eligibility for Combined Graduate Level Exam
-You must be in the age group of 20 to 25 years as on the first of January of the year
-Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates according to the rules of government of India.
-You will also have to fulfill certain physical standards like height of 157.5 cms and chest size of 81 cms, fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

Procedure to join CBI as Sub Inspector-
Clear the Combined Graduate Level Exam
Qualify in the Physical fitness round
Crack the Personal Interview

Examination --

Preliminary examination will have questions under following categories:
English Comprehension
Numerical Aptitude
General Awareness
General Intelligence and reasoning ability

Main examination will have questions to test following areas:
Arithmetic ability
Statistics
English comprehension skills

Physical fitness standard--

For male candidates:
Visual Standard: 6/6 right eye, 6/12 left eye, 6/9 both eyes
Height: For general category-165Cms, for reserved category-162.5Cms
Weight: Proportionate to height and age and also per medical standard specified in Force
Chest: For general category-Unexpanded: 77Cms and Expanded-82Cms, for reserved category- Unexpanded: 76Cms and Expanded-81Cms

For female candidates:
Visual Standard: 6/6 right eye, 6/12 left eye, 6/9 both eyes
Height: For General category-155Cms, for reserved category-154Cms
Weight: Proportionate to height and age and also per medical standard specified
