Some good tips to write or answer the Descriptive Papers in Bank PO (Probationary Officer) Exams are as follows:

As the time is limited with the candidates so one need to be fluent in English to attempt the question in fairly good manner and one need to pass the descriptive test with a minimum cutoff marks required for their categories.

The descriptive test will consist of

Letter writing
Essay writing
Précis writing

For the letter writing, one should be very clear with all the concepts and formats of the formal and informal letters.

One needs to understand the format at first and write a lot of letters to be clear and to increase the speed of writing.

For essay writing, one needs follow the format for the Article writing.

One needs to include the introduction part, then description of the topic in detail and then the solution part and recommendation. It is required for the examination.

The topics of the essay writing are related to Banking and finance only and candidates needed to have good knowledge of the banking and financial concepts to write the essay.

For Précis writing the passage is given to the candidates and candidates need to write a summary in 1/3 words of the total words of the passage.

While writing the summary behave like you are the author of the passage. Don’t write according to the author or writer etc.

Candidates can solve the previous year question of SBI descriptive test to learn more about the topics and their understanding.

Once the exam finishes one is called for the Personal interview and Group discussion and they will be selected for the PO after the final merit list will be prepared.
