I want to join Indian Army through NDA after 12th with Arts Stream. So can you tell me that what the eligibility criteria are for join Indian Army through NDA? No, you cannot join Indian Army after 12th standard with Arts stream. But with Arts stream you can join after Graduation through CDS. Physics & Maths are the compulsory subjects in 12th standard for joining Indian Army. You can apply for the post where there is requirement for Graduates only. General UPSC CDS Exam Eligibility For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent For Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering Qualification to Joining the Army as Officer Candidates who wish to join Indian Army as officer should have minimum passed a graduation degree. Only the candidates in the age group of 18 to 42 years can join Army. Those fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the NDA test which is held twice a year. After passing the written test one need to appear for the SSB interview followed by a complete medical check up. Qualification to Joining Army as a Junior Commissioned Officer The candidates interested to join Indian Army as Junior Commissioned Officer should have at least a graduation along with NCC ‘C’ certification. Candidates who apply for the post are first interviewed by the Commanding Officer and then by the Sub Area/ Area Command Headquarters. After interview the list of recommended candidates is forwarded to the Directorate General of the Territorial Army. The examination for join NDA is conducted by the UPSC. Eligibility Criteria The Candidates who want to join the NDA, their age must be 16.5 to 19 years. The minimum height of candidates is 157cm. The Candidates must have Indian citizen and unmarried male only. The Candidates must have minimum 10+2 passed from any recognized Board. The Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Examination and Physical Test.
