Detailed information related to All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) is given below:

Exam pattern:

The entrance test comprised of the objective type questions.
It consists of 200 questions.
The duration of the examination will be 3 hours.
For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
The entrance test includes the following fields:
Mathematics: It consists of the 100 questions.
Computer Awareness: It consists of the 40 questions.
Analytical ability/Logical Reasoning: It consists of the 40 questions.
General Awareness: It consists of the 20 questions.

Important dates:
Registration form will be available from first week of April.
Ending date of applying to the registration is last week of April.
Beginning date of issuing of the Hall token card will be in the month of May.
Examination will be held in the first week of the June.

All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) exam is conducted by Indian Institute of technology (IIT), Roorkee on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) every year.

Dates for 2014 has already gone, so here I am giving tentative dates:

Application form and notification will be declared in January/February, 2015

Closing date for application form:
April Last day 2015

Exam will be conducts on
June 1st week 2015

Eligibility:
Only those are eligible to apply for the test that qualify their 3 years Graduation along with their Intermediate with Mathematics or at the Bachelor's level are qualified.

Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply.

Foreigners are not allowed to apply.

Syllabus:

1. Mathematics:

Arithmetic, Algebra, Matrices, Differential Equations, Numerical Ability, Probability and Differential Calculus etc.

Computer Awareness:

Fundamentals of C Language, Boolean Algebra, Number Systems, Fundamentals of Computers, Electronic Gates and Algorithmic approach to solve problems

Analytical Ability:

Problem-Solving and Identification, System Thinking and Organizational Knowledge

General Awareness:

GK & Current Affairs, Political Affairs, History, Geography, Social Issues and Development, Business News and Economics etc.
