The HCL Placement criteria are as follows: HCL organizes recruitments in both ways as: On Campus Off Campus Educational details The applicant should have Graduation degree must be in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, IT, or in Computer Application like BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech/ MCA in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, IT. The campus placement will consist of: Written test Group Discussion Technical round for testing knowledge about subject or posts specific knowledge will be judged. Personal interview or HR round

HCL organizes recruitments in both ways as: On Campus Off Campus Educational details: The applicant should have graduation degree must be in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, IT, or in Computer Application like BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech/ MCA in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, IT. Selection procedure The campus placement drive will consist of: Written test Group Discussion Technical round for testing knowledge about subject or posts specific knowledge will be judged. Personal interview or HR round Exam pattern The total time allotted to the written exam is 120 minutes. Each section has different time limits. There is a negative marking of 0.25 in the paper. Testing Areas Number of Questions English Language 24 Analytical Ability 25 Quantitative Ability 25 Technical 25 Total 99 Syllabus; English Language section consists of short reading comprehension passages. They are easy to solve and answers can be easily found in the passages. This section also consists of basic grammar, usage and vocabulary questions such as: fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, paragraph completion, sentence completion etc. The time allotted to this section is 30 minutes. Analytical Ability section checks the reasoning skills of the candidates. The section consists of data interpretation and logical reasoning questions. Questions are based on topics such as puzzles, blood relations, statements & arguments, coding decoding, data sufficiency, pattern recognition, deductive logic, statement-assumption etc. The time allotted to this section is 35 minutes. Quantitative Ability section consists of questions based on mathematical topics such as algebra, time & work, time, speed & distance, arithmetic, percentages, profit & loss, geometry, etc. In general, the section difficulty level varies from easy to moderate. Since the section has a high number of questions, a candidate needs to solve questions rather quickly and speed is of the essence here. The time allotted to this section is 35 minutes. Technical Ability section involves questions from programming & algorithm development concepts.This section covered topics such as structure & constructs of Computer Programs, Data structures & Basic algorithms and Object Oriented Programming concepts. This section requires thorough preparation and a candidate with conceptual clarity and strong knowledge of the fundamentals would excel.
