Minimum Qualification for UPSC Exam

Sir I want to apply for the Union Public Service Commission Civil service Exam but I have no idea about the eliglbity qualification for the exam so please can you give me the qualification which is required for the UPSC exam?

The candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities which is incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions, established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Or

Candidates need to possess an equivalent qualification of the aforesaid qualification description.

UPSC does not specify the stream of studies to sit for the Civil Services Exam. A candidate can come from any stream such as Science, Arts, Commerce etc. He/she must hold a degree from the recognized University as explained above.
