The main difference of Postgraduate Certificate, a Postgraduate Diploma and a Masters (MA or MSc) course is depends on the amount of credits the course contains. Post grad diploma usually carries 120 credits and masters hold 180 credits, A full MSc course generally contains 180 credits. This is made up of 120 credits of taught units and 60 credits for a dissertation.
