Custom Inspector is an Officer who deals with the Excise duty and the related matters of the Central Board of Excise and Custom Taxes, a department of central government in India. Eligibility required becoming an Custom Inspector 1. Educational Qualification Applicants should hold a Bachelor of any stream. 2. Age Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC Applicants and 5 years for SC/ST Applicants Excise Inspector Salary An Excise Inspector gets the pay scale of Rs.6,500-Rs.10,500. In addition, allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Leave Travel Allowance, City compensatory Allowance, Medical and subsidized housing. To be a Custom Inspector applicants has to follow the below given steps:- Step 1 Applicants has to procure the Application Form along with required information from the employment newspaperpublished in April. The applicant should have Minimum 60% in your high school and intermediate is mandatory. The age limit is 21-29 years. The top posts in the custom department like senior superintendents are recruited through UPSC examination. The Directed recruitment process is done only for Constables and customs preventive officers and central excise inspectors/ constables posts.
