Eligibility for Food Inspector:-

Age: Applicants age should be between 18 and 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of Food Inspector.

Educational qualification: Applicants with completed graduation in medicine or have a bachelors degree in pharmacy, agriculture, food technology and dairy technology.

Procedure of Selection:- Applicants will be selected based on performance in written test and interview.

UPSC All India Food Inspector Exam

This is a national level exam which is consisting of technical and aptitude based questions. The exam will be conducted at examination centers in every district of each state.

Educational qualification: Applicants possessing any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply for UPSC All India Food Inspector Exam

Graduates in medicine with one year training in food inspection.
Bachelor’s degree in science stream with chemistry as a compulsory.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Dairy Technology/Public Health/ Veterinary Science/Pharmacy / Food Technology
Applicants possessing any degree equivalent to those


Pattern of exam:-

It consists of numerical ability and GK questions.
English language test.

The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.
as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts All India Food Inspector Exam for the recruitment of food inspectors in various offices all over the country. You need to crack this examination in the order to become a food inspector.

Eligibility:
The applicant should have completed graduation in Agriculture, Food Technology, Pharmacy, Dairy Technology or Veterinary Science with good academic record from any recognized university of India.

Age Limit:
You must be in age of 18 to 27 yrears

Age relaxation
Your minimum age should be 18 years.
Your age should not cross above 28 years.
For SC/ST + 5 years
For OBC + 3 years

Opening Date for Online Registration: 22 October 2014
Closing Date for Online Registration: 21 November 2014
Last Date for Receipt of Examination Fees: 18 November 2014
Last Date for Submitting Hard Copy of the Application: 12 December 2014
