As you want to become an IPS Officer, so here I am providing the following details:

Firstly you have to appear in the CSAT conducted by UPSC.

UPSC will conduct3 exams for IPS Officer.
CSAT (Pre Exam)
Main Exam
Interview

Eligibility Criteria for IPS Officer

Education: Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from any recognized University.

Age Limit: 21 to 30 Years

Nationality: Indian

Total number of Attempts:
For General: 4
For OBC: 7
For SC/ ST/ PWD: No Limit

Physical requirement
Height – Male 165 cm & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye
6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. Physical requirement

Exam Pattern
Paper I: General Studies
Paper II: Language Exam
Paper III: General English
Paper IV: Essay
Paper V, VI, VII, VIII and IX: Optional Subjects

General Studies
History of India and Indian National Movement,
The World, Indian Polity and Governance- Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc,
Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc
Current events of national and international importance
Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,
Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India
Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that does not require subject specialization

Government of India conducts Indian Police Service (IPS) Exam for the recruitment of Indian candidates for the different Posts in Indian Civil Services. IPS Exam is part of the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by the UPSC.

There are no special requirements for appearing for the IPS exam.

You can do any degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

Here is detailed eligibility Criteria:

You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age.

The applicant must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions.

Indian Police Service officer examination is conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC) every year. the selection procedure is as following:

Civil Services Aptitude Test(or Civil Services Preliminary Exam)
Civil Services Main Examination
Interview

The eligibility details are as following:

Eligibility:
The applicant must possess a degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification……..

Age

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination

Nationality:
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962,

Indian Police Service Limited Competitive Examination is being conducted by the UPSC.

This examination is conducted in these 3 stages, which are as given below:

Preliminary examination
Main examination
Interview

Eligibility:
The applicant should have completed graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions.

Age criteria:
You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination form and not more than 30 years of age

Number of Attempts
Four attempts for general, seven for OBCs
no limit for SCs/STs.

Physical Standard
Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. The correction is by lenses
only. High standard for the Color-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

IPS (Indian Police Service) Officer Exam is an All India exam which is counted among the top three civil services in India.

IPS Exam Eligibility

Age limit

-You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age
-Various relaxations in age are available for different categories

Qualification
-You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification
-Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for IPS Preliminary examination

Special requirement for IPS
- You must be a citizen of India, Whereas for other services the citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who migrated to India after 1st January 1962, or persons of Indian origin from the countries

Special Physical Requirements for IPS
-Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)
-Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.
-Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D
-Presence of Squint is a disqualification

Vision Requirement for IPS

Better eye (corrected vision)--
Distant vision 6/6 or 6/9
Near vision J1
Corrections permitted spectacles
Color vision requirements High grade
Binocular vision needed Yes
